Real question here for anyone that may have some insight: I’m an American and have wondered my entire life about why this process isn’t just built into the public trash service. Why is the onus on individuals to do all of this cleaning and sorting and then pay extra for a recycling service (that doesn’t even accept all kind of materials)? This truly is a genuine question. Why are there not tax breaks or something to incentivize companies to utilize recycled materials? I just truly want to understand why we can’t do more regarding my our trash problem.
